MORE WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

Accessibility.

Learning should welcome different devices, abilities, and ways of exploring. This page describes the support available today and where more work is needed.

Design for participation.

Project Badi aims to make its interface accessible and uses WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a development goal. This is an aspiration, not a claim of audited conformance or certification. A comprehensive assistive-technology audit has not been completed.

Choose how you explore.

You can use the 3D preview without a camera, printed marker, or AR tracking. Experiences include written explanations, selectable part names, and short investigations. Teachers can use those prompts to support discussion even when camera AR is unsuitable.

The printable card is free. Printing it is optional for browsing the site and using the camera-free preview.

Reading and interaction.

  • Pages adapt to phones, tablets, and larger screens. Text can be enlarged with browser zoom.
  • Navigation, forms, buttons, and sliders use labelled controls and visible keyboard focus. Skip links lead to page content.
  • The viewer includes pause and reset controls. Escape closes the viewer; available part menus provide another way to select model details.
  • Interface motion respects the device’s reduced-motion preference. The viewer also offers an explicit pause control.

Use Tab to move between controls, Enter or Space to activate buttons, and arrow keys to adjust a focused slider.

Where alternatives still need work.

The 3D canvas is visual, and free rotation currently relies on pointer or touch gestures. Written explanations and part menus support exploration, but they do not yet provide a complete equivalent for every spatial relationship shown in 3D.

Camera AR depends on positioning a marker and keeping it in view. Browser, screen-reader, zoom, and physical-device combinations still need broader testing. If a task is difficult, try the preview or the written investigation and ask a teacher or companion to support the spatial exploration.

Tell us what gets in the way.

Prepare an accessibility inquiry with the page or experience, the task you were attempting, your browser and device, and any assistive technology involved. Describe the barrier and an alternative that would help. Please omit personal learner details.
